Xi'an Xianyang International Airport is located in Weicheng District, Xianyang City, northwest of Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, China. It is 25 kilometers away from the urban area of Xi'an and is a 4F level civil international airport. It is a major trunk airport, international regular flight airport, one of the eight major hub airports in China, and one of the top 100 major airports in the world. In June 2014, it became the first airport in Northwest China and the eighth in China to implement a 72 hour visa free transit policy.
Xi'an Xianyang International Airport was officially completed and opened to traffic on September 1, 1991; The second phase of the project was completed on September 16, 2003, and the T2 terminal of Xi'an Xianyang International Airport was put into use; The second phase expansion project was completed on May 3, 2012, and the T3 terminal of Xi'an Xianyang International Airport began to be used; During the 13th Five Year Plan period, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport launched the third phase expansion project.
As of August 2017, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport has three terminals, namely T1 terminal, T2 (domestic) terminal, and T3 (domestic and international) terminal, with a total area of 350000 square meters; There are two runways, with lengths of 3000 meters and 3800 meters respectively; 127 parking stands, 44 boarding bridges, and a cargo area of 25000 square meters; It can meet the operational needs of a peak hour passenger throughput of 10000, an annual passenger throughput of 50 million, and a cargo and mail throughput of 400000 tons; Xianyang Airport has established aviation business relations with 62 domestic and foreign airlines, with 171 navigable cities and 313 domestic and international routes opened.
In 2016, the passenger throughput of Xi'an Xianyang International Airport was 36.9945 million, a year-on-year increase of 12.2%; The cargo and mail throughput was 233700 tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%; 291000 takeoff and landing sorties, a year-on-year increase of 9.0%; Ranked 8th, 14th, and 7th respectively in China.
The Xianyang International Airport project has cumulatively used more than 1000 PD19 series intelligent measurement and control instruments from Jiangsu Sfere Electric Co., Ltd. This series of instruments can measure all electrical parameters in the three-phase power grid, have RS485 communication interface, support multiple communication protocols, and ensure the safe and effective operation of various equipment inside the project.
